Welcome to Soil & More Reliance
Our composting operation was started out of our need for quality compost for use in our “Certified Organic” export tablegrape operation. No suitable compost could be sourced in a radius of 200km in the Paarl area and we decided to start our own production. Several production methods were evaluated, but we decided to employ the help of the Lübke family from Austria and their pioneering Controlled Microbial Composting (CMC) method.
Since 1998 Reliance Compost (Pty) Ltd. produced compost on a small-scale for its own farming operations. In April 2008 it formed a joint venture with Soil & More International under the name Soil & More Reliance. The composting site is located close to the city of Paarl (to the northeast of Cape Town).
